When I was seventeen, I made a promise to God: “I will do your work if you’ll take care of finances. Don’t make me have to think about those matters, Lord, but let me give my attention to you.”
Of all the jobs that I held, only the last – as a Member of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada – had a pension and I live happily on half that pension. The upshot is that I don’t give very much attention to financial matters. But that attitude extends to other matters as well. It’s simply the bend in the twig, to which the tree inclined.
I know that many do worry about finances and may buy dinars and dongs, for instance, or follow other strategies to ensure their own abundance and I respect that. I’m not trying to be disparaging. I just don’t choose that path for myself.
I intend to follow the course I charted at seventeen. And I actually don’t recommend anyone else following that course unless they really do intend to give their life to serving God. Half measures won’t work in this area. I’ve learned that over the years.
When we focus on any of the many proposals that are being floated to achieve abundance, we so often find ourselves then needing to follow their daily ups and downs, whether it be in the stock market or in accounts of revaluation, the prosperity funds or whatever the lightworker equivalent is. I went along with this for a short while when I first started this blog, for the sake of readers, but I personally (not the other editors perhaps, for whom I cannot speak) have utterly stopped following these stories now.
And that resolve extends to TOPPT (The One People’s Public Trust), discussions of Archons, calls for armed rebellion, secession from the United States, etc., etc. It also extends to following the large number of commentators and insider sources who say that Boehner is the new President or mystery guests will show up at the Inauguration (unless, as Suzi suggests, it was the spaceship above the Washington Monument), etc. It applies to the whole merry-go-round of rumor and speculation that we’ve become addicted to over the years.
You recall what Archangel Michael said yesterday on an Hour with an Angel.
“First of all, let us suggest to you, and let us suggest to you very strongly, that it is time for the human collective to stop engaging in the drama. There are beings that are still, hmm, shall we say caught in the quagmire of the old third, who wish to stir the drama and create reality that is simply not true and not coming to pass.” (1)
I’ve lost my taste for drama, which was not all that strong in the first place. I have to tell you that it’s not my personal vision for this blog that it achieve high levels of readership or that it occupy a certain place in journalism. Frankly, I don’t care much for considerations such as these. As I said in a post to the GoldenGaia discussion group this morning:
“We’re involved now in building Nova Earth, a world that works for everyone. There are enough blogs out there giving publicity to the ongoing panoply of ins and outs in the world of insider information. The addition of our blog to that group is not going to make the real difference we’d like to see in the world.
“But the generation of political will to end the persecution of women on the planet, to bring in global abundance through our coming together and demanding it, and to promote the divine qualities as a sound basis on which to build a world that works for everyone – now that’s something that sets our juices going.”
We’re not doing our job in journalism so that lightworkers can ride an endless carousel or a mad mouse that goes wildly up and down. We value the divine qualities such as balance, wisdom, discernment, patience and even-mindedness. So I’m not following rumor and speculation any more. Yes, I quit. I’ve gone cold turkey.
Now if that in itself sets a new way for lightworker journalism, well and good. That kind of way-showing I can get behind. The major events and news stories will receive full publicity when they happen. We’ve got behind us the momentum of a world progressing through Fourth Dimensionality towards Fifth and that assures us that the Light will carry the day.
There still remains a need to push for many reforms, especially in areas like ending world conflict and stopping gender persecution and we’ll gladly work for them. There’s also a need to celebrate and be joyous, and we appreciate that as well.
But we believe that most people are tired of the rollercoaster of rumor and speculation but just don’t know how to get off it or cause it to stop. Well, I’m saying: Stop the rollercoaster. I want to get off. Enough is enough.
So I’m just serving notice on behalf of myself. Not trying to speak for others. That’s it for me on rumor and speculation. That’s it for concern for my own financial well-being and to heck with the shape that others are in. If I have money above and beyond my needs, it’s yours.
That’s it for fear and panic and anxiety. I stake my claim on this place right here in the center, where the Self resides, where God resides, who is the Self, and where rumor, speculation and drama really have no place.
And if that means that people flee this blog in droves, so be it. Truthfully speaking, people who seek rumor, speculation and drama are not the people I’m writing for anyways. If you’re here, you’re here because you value balance, discernment, and openness.
Lao Tzu sat beside the great highway with his pot of weak meat soup simmering over the fire. Across from him was a very popular noodle shop, where the rich vapors of chicken soup arose and wayfarers gathered and discussed the latest exciting news from the places they’d come from. Almost no one noticed Lao Tzu and his pot of weak meat soup. But that did not disturb him. And neither does the possibility of neglect that may come from having set aside rumor and speculation disturb me.
