Two nights before we kick off the first ever 2012 Scenario Conference Sedona – Preparing for Ascension, my guest on The Light Agenda is the unofficial fairy queen of Sedona, the gorgeous Genii Townsend.
In an episode coming live from Sedona, Genii joins me to talk about the powerful healing qualities of the town she has called home for the past 10 years, as she prepares to welcome the 550 people who are attending the conferences this week and next.
She’s already had one best selling book, City of Light Sedona and this week she is releasing her second: Something’s Coming: Universal Cities and Love, light and Healing.
While we talk in depth about both books, it’s the depth of Genii’s incredible life journey that will inspire you.
In addition to being an author, Genii is an award-winning entrepreneur, co-founder of several non-profits and she also runs the Sedona Light center and the Ultimate Destiny University here in Sedona.
Born into a poor Chicago family, where her parents always fought, Genii soon found herself as a young girl with one brother – but many mothers and fathers. The fathers especially caused pain – especially her first stepfather who slapped Genii about, especially when she physically prevented him for trying to kill her mother! he went to jail.
At 18, Genni and her mother left Chicago for Los Angeles. Her childhood sweetheart returned from the war soon after and Genii was soon married with two kids. Then the marriage fell apart – he eventaully died of alcoholism and Genii found herself a single mother with two kids – and no money! It was 1958.
A trip to the movies with her brother that year led to two things: her falling in love with puppets, and deciding that would be her career; a name change from her birth name of Jean to Genii. “I was ready to create magic.”
And so she opened the very first Geniiland – where celebrities and other brought their kids for birthday parties, complete with full-scale stage shows featuring puppets made and string-pulled by Genii. Yes, she created magic for everyone.
As Geniiland grew more and more popular, Genii had to keep finding bigger and better venues. She also found a new electrician, who became her second husband.
Genii’s own popularity and fame grew in tandem with her business – and she soon ended up on The Carol Burnett Show.
Soon after came the awards, the acknowledgement and accolades for her leading role as a woman in business.
Then Genni discovered the Religious Science School – and her childhood love of God returned. She eventually grew apart from her second husband – and met and married a Religious Science School Church reverend – Dr BillTownsend.
It was the beginning of her new life – with Bill soon discovering his ability to channel messages about Sedona and Genii lapping them up and taking notes.
Before she knew it, she too started trans-audio messaging and began writing her messages down, too. After 20 years together Bill sadly passed – and Genni became the City of Light ambassador. With the help of friends she published those messages in her first book – City of Light Sedona.
The rest, as they say is City of Light history!
Plus: You’ll find out why, even now, a timely song by Barbra Streisand can move Genii to tears.
