Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl Wudunn are producing a film based on their book Half the Sky, on the oppression of women in the world. Half the Sky refers to a Chinese proverb that women hold up half the sky. We’ll never have peace in the world until we end the oppression of women (and children).
Nicholas Kristof is a journalist I followed a great deal as a refugee adjudicator with the Immigration and Refugee Board. He’s very insightful and compassionate. Thanks to Rosy.
