“The Year of 2012 is a Year of No Excuses” is fairly confusing. I thought we were supposed to be imagining and bringing into creation our biggest hopes and dreams, with a focus on bringing to the fore all the ‘back-burner’ plans and projects that have been shelved due to years of continuous survival concerns. are those not desires and wants? if they bring you joy and and help you to spread joy to other people in the process, i call that lightwork. the message of the post is appreciated, but its tone is one of drudgery, as if acting from joy, love, compassion and creation is going to be quite the obligatory burden to bear lol.”
Absolutely.
I seem to have caused some confusion with that post so let me elaborate if you’d permit me.
There are several things I’d need to say. And I hope I don’t dig myself in deeper. I’d like to proceed from the general to the specific.
First of all, speaking very, very generally: As you suggest, there are things that can be desired without creating problems for ourself. What are they as a category? Krishna says:
“I am all that a man may desire
Without transgressing
The law of his nature.”
(Sri Krishna in Bhagavad-Gita, 71.)
God is all that can be desired without creating karma. But what is God? God is love, joy, happiness, bliss, compassion, wisdom, courage, etc. So what looks like a fairly constrained category of things is really very large.
If you are one who serves by loving, creating joy, speaking wisdom, or showing courage, those desires are not arising from the ego captured in the phrase “I want.” They are coming from the Self and not part of the subject I was, perhaps unclearly, discussing.
God is not jealousy, hatred, enmity, or callousness and if we pursue those “desires” we create karma. So the desire for God and the things of God, as I understand it, do not harm but bless us.
So in the first place, if we’re speaking generally, I’m not referring to the desires and objects of desire which relate to God and godliness.
But second of all, I have to modify that because I am specifically speaking to a particular group of lightworkers, usually starseeds, who have come here to serve in a particular way and have now reached the time of service. To them, and them alone, I say that we’ve reached the time when “I want” may need to, for a period of time and in the service of the mission we came to fulfill, take a back seat to our sacred purpose.
No one needs to be a lightworker. No one needs to serve. And you (the reader) have said that you’re a lightworker and your form of service differs from what you heard me say. That too is fine. No one needs to be a lightworker in the way the next person is. How one serves will vary.
It is perfectly alright, as far as I know, to enjoy these next months prior to Ascension. But some of us have agreed to shoulder responsibilities which may be best seen to (and they also may not be) by putting our own personal wants aside and taking up our role. At this time and only for this time leading up to Ascension for those for whom this fits.
And there are other exceptions. There are those who serve, who fulfill their roles as lightworkers by being joyful, happy, inspiring, expressive, etc. That is also fine by me. They would have to hear what I said modified by the fact that their very service appears to relate to desire – the desire to be happy, etc.
If my message does not apply to you at all, does not trip a switch or bring an “Aha! I have been called,” then ignore the message altogether please. It wasn’t intended for you. It was intended for those who are saying, “When should I spring into action?” In my view, the time for action for this group is now. I fairly hear it sing out in me, puppet that I am.
For lightworkers of my persuasion (and only for them), now is the time to pick up our tools and walk to the workplace. What may be your role is something only known to you.
I feel an intense desire to be at work, to serve. I get a great deal of pleasure out of serving. But I also know others who at this moment don’t relish the idea, including many who’ve slaved away for quite some time and are looking forward to time off and relaxation. At any one hotel, there are servers and patrons and the servers serve the patrons. So here as well.
For those who’ve already spent years toiling, by all mean rest and relax. We the servers may be serving you. Your time off may be designed to give you a spell away from the grind. It wouldn’t be appropriate for you to take up a new task that looks like a grind as well.
For my part, and I’ve been “off” for many years and away from work, I feel myself preparing to work rather than preparing for relief, time off, my own special desires, etc.
The reader says: “I thought we were supposed to be imagining and bringing into creation our biggest hopes and dreams, with a focus on bringing to the fore all the ‘back-burner’ plans and projects that have been shelved due to years of continuous survival concerns. Are those not desires and wants?”
Yes, they are and by all means. What I wrote would not apply to those who have been weighed down by years of toil and want to undertake something of their own desire. Absolutely rest and relax if you want to or make plans and create projects that you’ve been prevented from all these years. That’s what’s appropriate for you, it sounds like.
There is no compulsion that I’m aware of relative to the time ahead. We are regaining our sovereign independence. What may be right for me may not be right for you.
So leaving aside those who fall into the various categories to which my post does not apply, everyone who has slaved and been worked to the bone, everyone whose service is around creating joy (well, the Bridge Fund is certainly about creating joy although it may be hard work for the servers) through art, entertainment, etc., and for everyone else who doesn’t hear what I wrote as a call, the post was not intended for you. One size does not fit all.
But there may be some for whom it is relevant, who, upon hearing it, feel a surge of … how can I describe it because I feel it now … of inspiration, of readiness, of a chest-expanding “Yes!” … for those I say that now’s the time. Now it begins. If you’re waiting for a bell or a phone call or a hand on the shoulder, this is that signal.
We (those who resonate to this request) have twelve short months to go and transform a world. Our work needs to reach to Africa, Asia, around the globe. We have a huge task ahead of us and just months to complete it. As W.H. Murray said (not Goethe), “Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it.” Now is that time.
Thank you for asking your question. If my message doesn’t fit for you, not to worry. Full speed ahead on the path that does work for you. Everyone has a different path and no one path is fit for all people.
No sooner did I finish this article, then I turned back to my current reading and read this passage from Mother Mary:
“In the growing struggle, you will hold the center. You will hold the clarity, not only for self, but for many. I will be clear. I do not speak of civil war, upheaval, cataclysm, geographic, physical, or otherwise. I speak of the birthing of new understanding in the hearts and minds of the planet and all who exist upon her. You are the midwives. You are the parents and the birthers. It is time to step forward, not back, not into the fray but to observe, to referee, to speak the truth, and to hold the love for one another.” (Nova School of Healing Arts and Sciences, How to Channel Workshop, p. 12.)
