Kathy, who made the video, writes:
“I went to the Occupy Portland demonstration on Oct. 6 to show my support for the Occupy Wall Street movement in New York. It was an amazing experience of unity in diversity. We were all united in standing up for economic and social justice but the crowd was made up of diverse groups, spanning all ages, political parties, races, and faiths, each giving voice to specific issues and grievances. This is the peaceful, social media movement I’ve been envisioning that I believe will have a major impact in creating a more just and equitable society—a world that works for everyone.
“The Occupy Wall Street movement has spread worldwide with demonstrations in 950 cities in 82 countries– 100 US cities coast to coast and hundreds of cities worldwide including Canada, Asia, Australia, and Europe. The masses are waking up and rising up against corruption and corporate controlled government. I believe we are seeing a global shift in consciousness—a breakthrough in unity consciousness that is rapidly reaching a critical mass.
“Below is a music video from pictures I took at the demonstration in Portland. Please post it if you feel inspired to do so.”
