Steve, what an amazing thing you and others are doing. You are very kind in this manner. I did want to let you know that I happened to fix an old pc, so for me it is not an issue any longer at this point in time. I completely appreciate the sentiment! Others need money more than us and paying for someone’s electric bill is more important than a computer, especially since we still had one at the time, now we have 2 for now. Thanks so much and I hope that all Lightworkers get what they need. Namaste, Wendy
What’s it been? Only a day since we discussed this idea of starting a Lightworkers Fund? And already a significant discussion has been held at http://goldenageofgaia.com/2011/09/need-feedback-on-a-proposed-lightworkers-fund/.
I’d like to reproduce some of that discussion here, but before I do, let me say that I’m joined in this work (because it does look like we’re forging ahead) by Dave Schmidt of Edmonds, WA, just down the road from me. Dave is a former WA State Senator, a minister, and a man literate in financial topics. He’s spent close to 3o years in either politics or church work fundraising. We are currently walking through the various ideas that have been raised. Thanks for joining me in this, Dave.
Let me add as well that a kind reader (I’m not sure I have his permission to reveal his name; I shall call him “L”) has made a quite substantial donation, which, along with Rene’s the other day, really did decide the matter for me. And I have spoken to our friend, the Woman from WA (WFW), as we are referring to her, who is getting estimates on the dental work she requires.
This fund is not designed to be an ongoing thing per se, but to tide things over to whenever NESARA is declared – in fact, to see us through and to give us a means of responding to those people who are at the end of their rope or those lightworkers who are at work on projects and require a small amount of seed capital (star seed capital). It isn’t designed to parallel existing foundation funds, with red tape and forms to fill out. It is designed to see that people don’t fall through the cracks.
In the early afternoon, I confess I went through a difficult time, pondering what one reader said, which is that these things can begin nicely, then hit a bump, and go off the rails, etc. I lay in bed asking myself if I wanted to enter into something that could result in possible acrimony and for a while I said, “No.” And then I said, “Yes.” I’m willing to risk.
Janis Galbraith has raised a matter which will require some looking into. Will we, by gifting an individual, bring that person into difficulty with the IRS? That’s something I’m not familiar with and would appreciate hearing from anyone on.
Something could go off the rails. But if we don’t venture out, then no forward momentum will ever be created. I’m willing to take the chance if you are in the name of starting lightworkers on what I hope will be the start of our collective journey into the heart of Light.
Numerous suggestions have been made, such as having an area of the site that would feature “projects” – this person needs a new computer; that person needs help with rent or they’ll be evicted; this person needs help with a medical matter; that person can’t pay their electric bill and is in danger of being deprived of service. With the kind of arrangement suggested, people could choose what to contribute to. We discussed “to Paypal or not to Paypal.” (Paypal does have some quirks and some people are off the grid.)
I can see how an area of the site would work in some cases and then not work in others. Sometimes, as with WFW, there is a need to know that the money is available up front before contracting the services. At other times, people can contribute to a cost like buying a new computer or supporting a lightworker radio show.
For anyone who wants to jump the gun and contribute to people’s wellbeing now rather than later, there are three circumstances I’m aware of where help would or might be appreciated:
“Would.” Ellie Miser lives a very spare existence. Ellie is a Pleaidian Starseed, 80 years old, who has been here on the ground feeding back information to her compatriots on the ships about what Earth society is like. Ellie supports her son and herself on her social security. Ellie can use help, I know. People can contribute to Ellie through Paypal, via [email protected]
“Might.” Wendy Zangari’s computer has died. Wendy and her husband Greg put out Ready for the Shift and they are not the wealthiest people in the world. They now work off the one computer. I’m sure Wendy would appreciate help. Her email is [email protected] I’m not sure if she’s on Paypal.
“Would.” And Maarten Horst can use financial help for his ET/First Contact radio show. Maarten’s Paypal account is [email protected] . Maarten also fixes computers and, given the shrinking world, has the software to sign onto computers, diagnose them, and fix them. So there is the opportunity for barter or exchange there too.
And speaking of barter, people discussed getting into barter projects, having a Yahoo discussion group dedicated to discussing projects of service to others, etc.
Two people said they’d be willing to donate on a monthly basis. I’ve been doing that with Ellie for some time now. That idea too has merit. Another (Jeannie) said she would offer healings, free to those who could not afford it. Jeannie’s URL:
Andrea sent an email saying that she would be willing to listen to people who need someone to talk to.
Other people have offered to help with design services, technical services, etc. Pedro mocked up a webpage that could be used to feature people’s requests for assistance. All offers have been gratefully accepted.
Just keep the offers and ideas coming, folks. The spiritual heart is an elastic organ, with no limit on the amount it can expand.
Some interesting things seen. It’s interesting how many of us lead modest, frugal lifestyles. People say they’ve given away all their possessions and live a freed-up life. I like the way Taree phrased it: “A lucky few have money set aside, but some of the most dazzling ones I know are just floating around full of love, few wants and lots to share.” We’ve sometimes been criticized for living life this way. But then who knew that we came from elsewhere and were here to help with planetary Ascension? We’ve been considered vagabonds for decades; now suddenly we find that we’re Starseeds. Hoodda thunk?
I frankly don’t care if generosity spills out of you like a tsunami. That’s what’s meant to happen, as far as I’m aware. Whereas some ten or twenty years ago, we might have said, “You’d better play it safe. There are all kinds of people out there who want to rip you off,” we’re close to being in a place where the need for caution may no longer be as great.
I’m not saying being snookered won’t still happen on occasion. It very well might. And I’m not recommending careless abandon. But I think, given what we know is coming down the pike, we can perhaps afford to let up just a little. Not too much. (Soon, but not yet.) But a bit. Viewer discretion remains advised, but not as great as it has been in the past.
The way I handle being snookered is I tell myself I’m giving to God. If the person snookers me, I still gave to God and God knows.
And, as we get closer to the new way of life that SaLuSa and others talk about, then we can relax more and more. Of course if what I say raises discomfort in you, then by all means remain with that. What’s happening today is not about anyone needing to qualify, or earn something, or be this way instead of that.
Ascension is being made available free gratis to all who want it and can assimilate the required light. There isn’t a great deal to do. What we’re responding to, rather, is the natural impulse that arises as the light increases. I feel naturally generous these days and naturally inclined to assist. I put that down to the rising energies. But there is no need for anyone to force anything.
Well, this has been an energizing and enlightening day. I’ll have more to say as discussions with the people who’ve indicated they’d like to participate proceed. Thanks to everyone who joined the discussion. Don’t forget the two discussion groups where these kinds of topics are likely to be discussed daily (not necessarily, but perhaps):
2012 Scenario discussion group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/2012Scenario/ and
Share11 discussion group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Share11/
