This article is meant to be read alongside Inelia Benz’s “Fear Processing Exercise” at http://goldenageofgaia.com/2011/08/inelia-benz-fear-processing-exercise/.
You may notice some common features among the recommendations of various people who have looked at how to clear fears, upsets, old business and so on. (1) I’d like to theorize that they are common, commonly urged, and workable because they reflect the nature of God.
Most readers here will know that I’ve said on many occasions that the purpose of life, as I see it, is for each person to know him or herself as God and that that purpose was given to each soul by God, reflecting the wider purpose that God Himself (Herself, Itself – God has no gender) had in creating life: that, when each individual knew himself or herself in a moment of enlightenment, God would meet God. (2) For the purpose of God meeting God was all of life created.
If the purpose of our lives is to know our true identity as God, would it not make sense that knowing the truth would result in beneficial consequences? There are small truths and large truths to be known and obviously the Truth of truths would be the exact nature of God. Once we know the exact nature of God, I believe, we will have fulfilled our purpose in life. That would bring inestimable and perpetual benefit – is it not reasonable to expect?
Who can know the exact nature of God? Obviously everyone will know some day, but operationally speaking the number of beings who come to the knowledge of the exact nature of God on any one day is probably so infinitesimally small as to be impossible to put a number to. In terms of any one knowledge system, of whatever nature, kind, type, etc., God could be said to be totally unknowable.
God cannot be known by philosophy, by description, through speech. Any formal system of knowledge is said to be incapable of capturing the essence of God. So I am totally defeated at the outset in tackling this subject. I surrender immediately and completely without further ado.
But that’s talking about ultimate knowledge. God is ultimately unknowable using any system, philosophy, technology, language, etc.
At the very, very superficial level we operate on as Third-Dimensional, physically-incarnated beings, we can still have a conversation about God as long as we realize and remember that we are shadow boxers dancing in the light.
So speaking superficially and knowing that nothing I say has more than a three-day existence or applicability, God has been described in His (Her, Its) formless and transcendental Beingness as being: silent, still, nothingness, etc. He (She, It) has been described as being total and unconditional love, acceptance, impartiality, etc. He has been described as being awareness, consciousness, beingness, etc.
If God is indeed anywhere similar to whatever is being pointed to by these words, then it makes sense that when we too become like this, that we are fashioning ourselves similar to the Beingness of God, to the Truth – does that not make sense?
Fear, upsetness, anxiety, etc. are generally considered to be not what God ultimately is. When we feel them in our bodies, we tend to react to them as if they were unwanted conditions.
To be rid of them, does it not make sense that, if we respond to them as God would and if we become like God with them, they would be expected to leave us? It does to me.
And so we hear Inelia giving us a process in which what she really is saying, if I understand her at all correctly, is: Be like God with your upset: be aware, be still, be accepting, welcome whatever you see, and allow it to be.
If you were to be that way with your fears and upsets, would you not be being with them in a way that God is? Aware, still, accepting, welcoming, allowing?
If you are thus being as God is, does it not make sense that the unwanted condition would not remain but would disappear?
What I have just said, for me, suggests why processes such as Inelia’s fear processing exercise work and why we would expect them to work. But even more importantly, it also suggests why being that way all the time could be expected to work generally and could be put forward as just a darn good way to be. A New Paradigm way of being, if I may be so bold as to say it.
So I’d just like to tack this discussion on to Inelia’s process as an explanation of why we might expect it to work and how it fits with the way God may have designed life. God designed life, in my view, so that it supports His purpose: to have created souls know themselves as God.
To process your fears and upsets, be with them as God is: aware, still, accepting, welcoming and allowing. I predict an upset or fear cannot survive in the face of you being as God with it.
