Perhaps I’ll add to this original message to record our progress in erecting a new house for the site.
I’m very happy and grateful to say that many people are coming forward to join in this enterprise, some with novel arrangements.
Louie, for instance, has offered to post articles that I send him, which is a kind of arrangement I’d never thought of before.
Dorian is selecting and posting articles. Katrina, if I’m correct, will be writing as well as posting.
Carson is looking at creating a day of peace connected to 11-11-11. Others are also gearing up and coming on board. So there is much going on.
During this time of bringing new editors on board, there may be a net drop in postings as we Skype each other and learn WordPress, posting formats, etc. I personally will be training people and may not be writing as many articles as I ordinarily might. I also may be slow in answering email. So it’ll be crazy for a while.
Then you can probably expect a net increase in posts, but some errors in format, etc. Some people may come and go. Like any work in progress, things will be up and down for a while, but eventually all will smooth out.
I am so grateful for the arrival of fresh troops. Over the long term, I’ll be handing more and more duties off to others and simply zeroing in on writing. Ryan is changing the name of the site from to 2012scenario.com, which takes it away from seeming like “my” property to being a communal site.
Progress is being made in building a new house to accommodate more editors and release me for writing and research. I’ve been enjoying the conversations we’ve had, while we explore how to proceed.
One thing became clear early on. I approached the task saying to myself, well, there’s this need and that need and the job is to find a person to fill each need. But that very quickly became revealed as putting the cart before the horse.
Now the way I’m proceeding is to find out what the field of interest is for each person who steps forward and allowing them to frame their involvement. SaLuSa said today (July 27, 2011) : “Each of you have agreed a life plan to take you exactly where you wish, so follow your intuitive guidance.” That applies in your serve here as much as it does in your general life.
So one person is interested in the Divine Feminine; another in systems analysis; another in the history of 2012; others in extraterrestrial life, economics, analytical opinion, etc. It makes no sense for me to ask someone interest in the Divine Feminine to post on economic events in the Eurozone. Heavens no. Tell us about the Divine Feminine.
And so it’s going. This may be a slow process at first. There will be training needs. There may be a time in which some posts are not on the money. We’ll need to be patient with the process. But if it works this will be a vibrant and diversified organ of reportage and opinion in a short while.
The total outcome needs to cover the bases associated with the 2012 scenario (or 2011 scenario, if that’s your orientation). But there is more than one way to get there.
Some people can’t join up till later. Some can only give a few hours a week. That’s totally fine with me. We’re weaving a patchwork quilt here, if you like. This is not a melting pot, but a mosaic.
There may be some fits and starts. There may be some avenues pursued which turn out not to be finally followed for one reason or another, But I’d like to see people “owning” a particular part of this enterprise in a community of editors, each doing only what they enjoy, to the extent they have time, as often as they’d like (keeping in mind the need to offer variety to you the reader).
In general, what I look for in news coverage in particular are the game-changers, deal-breakers, barn-burners, trim tabs, and tipping points among all the events that happen and the stories that describe them. I don’t generally wish to report an event and then follow it endlessly. I’d rather report an event and then report another event and then offer a synopsis that integrates the two events and proceed in that manner.
I could offer you the example of the Norway attacks. We looked at the events themselves. We looked at other false-flag attacks. We looked at the Oklahoma City bombing and how that was not a simple ammonium-nitrate explosive but a hyperbaric bomb. We looked at what Montague Keen had to say about mind-controlled Manchurian candidates and how Anders Behring Breivik was probably one. We looked at how the attacks were probably designed to take the heat off the Murdoch media empire and prevent the investigation from digging too deeply. Chipping away, chipping away at the puzzle until the bigger picture emerges. But we didn’t proceed by covering the attacks on day one, day two, day three. The mainstream and alternative press can do that.
What we want to do is to discover what Jesus called the “signs of the times.” SaLuSa was probably referring to these today when he said: “The plan has been laid down and bit-by-bit it progresses, and every now and again you will surely see the pattern that is emerging and recognise what is happening.” We’re looking for those patterns that reveal the Divine Plan.
Some people may say: I want to post on Ascension food recipes or the use of magical potions in Ascension. No offense meant to anyone, but I’m not sure I particularly want to look at those or some other topics here. Just a matter of choice, taste or interest. So there are some areas that I personally am not inclined towards. The site does have limits. Another site would have different limits. Etc.
I’m hanging back from posting the news, waiting for you to show up to take that task on. I’m scared stiff that, if I start in again, I’ll addictively continue and I actually do want to move on to a new job. My hand is shaking. I desperately want another drink … I mean, post. Just one more Huff Post! One more Alternet! No, no, Steve. Tell God that you are powerless against your addiction. You’re a newsaholic. Take one more drink … I mean, news story and you’ll fall off the wagon again. The cavalry are coming! Just wait.
So we are working on spreading the work around and incorporating your interests, energy, and skills in the production of the content of the site. And I will revert back to my first love, which is simple research and writing, just like I’m doing here and now.
That’s our progress report. All aboard!
