Ex-News of the World features editor Paul McMullen boasted to Hugh Grant that his phone had been hacked following which Grant visited him in his pub and taped him divulging all the details. Grant wrote up the hacking practices of the Rupert Murdoch syndicate in the New Statesman, as well as the bribing of police and the participation of several British governments.
But none of that is why I post this. Readers of this site will know that much worse than this goes on in the British government, and the American, and most every other contemporary government. But nothing illustrates our society’s fall from morality and discernment so much as Paul McMullen’s defence of phone hacking in the second half of the video.
