Origins Of Crop Circles
https://www.letters4earth.com/cc/ccorigins.html
Circles and rings designs made by alternating standing and flattened crops began proliferating in Wiltshire, England in the 1970s. Early investigators called the formations crop circles because initially they were all circular. The name caught on and has persisted despite changing designs. In less than 40 years crop circles have appeared on all continents and more than 200 countries in increasingly complex designs and arrays.
Historically, crop circles have been reported for centuries in England, America and Africa. African shaman Credo Mutwa wrote about crop circles in his book, Isilwane, The Animal , “Tales and Fables of Africa“:
“The sacred fields were ploughed far from the ordinary millet, maize and corn, as they were left unfenced. Over centuries, people had discovered that the star gods sometimes communicated with human beings through these sacred fields. Time and again, strange circular depressions were seen in the centre of these fields. These depressions were called Izishoze Amatongo, the great circles of the gods.
“These circles were an amazing sight to see. The gods never cut the stalks of corn or millet when they form these depressions. It appears as though a great circular, disk-shaped force has descended on the field. It pressed the corn firmly into the ground, without breaking the stalks or damaging the plants. Then the force appears to spin, resulting in the strange spiral appearance of the fallen stalks. Words cannot describe such a phenomenon, which I have seen more than thirty times in the course of my life as a traditional healer. Whenever a circle appeared in the fields, the people rushed to erect a fence of poles around the circle. They would dance and perform other sacred rituals honouring the star gods and the Earth Mother.
“All the kings and chiefs awaited the arrival of these circles. The appearance would be cause for celebrations that lasted several days. These celebrations were accompanied by prayers to the gods to watch over the people and to talk to them through the sacred circles.”
Soon after anomalous crop circles similar to those Mutwa Credo described began appearing in England a human crop art industry took shape. Crop circle conferences, tours, clubs, books, DVDs and calendar were soon booming. A market demand arose which vendors were able to meet the demand by making their own formations. Some researchers estimated that 95-99% of crop circles made in Wiltshire, England, in 2010 were human fabrications.
Wiltshire took a lead role as the crop art capital of the world, with estimated revenues in excess 500,000 British pounds in 2010. (This converted to more than $809,780 US dollars on September 1, 2010.) That’s a great deal of annual revenue for a cottage industry reportedly dreamed up in a pub! Crafty creatures of the marketplace, some crop art makers also lay claim to special, if not divine, inspirations in their creations. Some say they seek to complete what nature has left incomplete.
Long-time researcher Freddy Silva reported numerous crop circle hoaxes in Wiltshire in an interview about his 2011 book, Common Wealth: Our Legacy Of Places of Power and the Transfiguration of the Human Soul. He suggests that crop circles as a phenomenon have moved away from Wiltshire and into other parts of the world.
In 2011 the first crop circles of the year were made in Indonesia, Mexico and Holland. The formations in Indonesia were the first crop circles made in that nation in at least 20 years. Residents near the first Indonesian crop circle, made January 23, 2011, reported the presence of a UFO and hearing an unidentified sound for about 30 minutes the night it was made. All three of the formations were in rice, which grows in both wet and dry fields. BLT Research’s examination of close-up photos showed no mud on the top of the rice crop, but it is not known which, or if any, of the formations were caused by an anomalous force or energy.
The first crop circle in Holland in 2011 occurred early Easter morning (April 24) and Dutch medium Robbert van den Broeke not only “knew” it was coming, he felt that the Catholic friar St. Francis of Assisi was strongly associated with that particular circle. The BLT report on the formation itself and also the photos taken by Robbert in association with it are posted on the BLT Research website: https://www.bltresearch.com/robbert/easter2011.php
After Easter three more crop formations were made in Robbert’s general area, each of which he perceived as they were occurring. The second formation (April 28th) included one circle which was “glowing,” and plant & soil samples have been taken to see if any chemical is present which might account for the “glow” observed by both Robbert and his friend Ellen for more than 10 minutes.
A number of origins for crop circles are identified and may combine into complex relationships.
1. Crop circles formed entirely with Earthian and non-human intelligence and energy. Intelligence of this nature in antiquity, recognized and addressed around the world. Known to the gods as Xanthus and to humans as Scamander, the river rose up and protested Achilles clogging its channels with corpses he had slain in the Iliad. Achilles agreed to stop throwing bodies into the water but not to stop killing them. When he heard the river’s plea for help, Achilles attacked the river. The river got the upper hand and dragged Achilles downstream to a floodplain and nearly killed him. Only the gods’ setting the plain on fire and boiling the river’s water until it released him saved Achilles.
Shamans such as Wallace Black Elk with the ability to communicate with non-human intelligences served as intercessors for humans in ethereal or supernal realms. Black Elk discussed his shamanic role as a teacher and intercessor of intelligences of this nature in a 1975 interview. https://www.letters4earth.com/letters/blackelk.html
In an August 28, 1978 Ida Kannenberg discourses with non-physical intelligences:
“We are those who are souls, like yourself, but who are never born into your world but into other planes of existence according to our own will. There are many planes to choose from. You did not choose your own specifically, but accepted it as it was necessary for someone to do so. You volunteered although your own choice would have been otherwise. Yes, in a sense it was your own choice, but not your favorite one. Free will always rules in ALL OF GOD’S CREATURES, NOT JUST MAN. That is an important fact, though many will dispute it with you.
“We are legion, a great number, more than you would believe, but only I will ever be in contact. I am Monzorad.
“Part of your intended work was to teach, as we told you several days ago. You helped the UFO people to see how to approach earth and its people to better advantage for all. That was the extent of your intended work with them.
“Accept or reject what we say. What does it matter as long as you write!”
Small randomly appearing circles called dragon’s footprints appeared in Wiltshire since the beginning of the modern crop circle phenomenon. Sometimes found in the same fields with anomalous crop circles and humanly made crop art, dragon’s footprints seem to appear independently of larger formations and give an impression that a dragon could have walked through the field. This genre of formations may be an expression of earthian energies. Very little is published on these.
2. Larger geometric constructions with anomalous features often associated with balls of light and/or UFOs in the vicinity. The larger designs often displaying symbolism from Earth’s many cultures comprise the majority of crop circles studied. Their elegance, ingenuity, fluid lay of crop, electromagnetic qualities and other anomalies are what attracted researchers to crop circles before crop art gripped Wiltshire. Often associated with balls of light and UFOs, anomalous crop circles may represent collaboration of multiple sources and intelligences. A number of unique characteristics distinguish anomalous crop circles from humanly made crop art:
• Elongated apical plant stem nodes (stretching of the first node beneath the seed-head) is the most reliable visible plant change documented by the scientific research which indicates a cause other than mechanical flattening.
• Expulsion cavities (holes blown out usually at the lower plant stem nodes) are the second most reliable visible plant change shown by the scientific research to be related to non-mechanically-flattened crop.
• Stunted, malformed seeds and serious germination abnormalities are another scientifically-proven effect of the crop circle energy system.
• Marked bending of plant stems at the nodes—if present immediately after a crop circle has formed—may also be an indicator of authenticity; however, bending can also be caused by natural plant recovery processes, particularly in young, vigorously-growing crop, thus making this visible plant change one that must be very carefully evaluated.
These physical changes to crop circle plants and to the reproductive capability of the seeds from these plants vary among crop formations, due in part to the various species of plant involved, it’s growth phase and the precise composition and intensity level of the various energies involved (ref: https://www.bltresearch.com/plantab.php and https://www.bltresearch.com/published.php).
3. Humanly made crop art began proliferating after 1991. Self-professed hoaxers Doug Bower and Dave Chorley stated they had started the phenomenon in 1978 by making circles in crops with boards and ropes. They proceeded to make a crop circle in one hour after announcing they had come up with the idea while drinking in a pub. Their creation, however, was crude compared to crop circles generally deemed anomalous.
Colin Andrews reported an effort to discredit anomalous crop circles with Operation Blackbird in the early 1990s. One of the mysteries of humanly made crop art is the lack of arrests for damaging farmer’s fields. Freddy Silva reports that some artists pay farmers for using their fields. Crop artists who profit from products sold with crop circle art could consider payments to farmers as production costs.
However, least one person has been prosecuted for property damage to farmers’ crops. Matthew Williams was arrested and confessed to planking and stomping crop circles in the Dave and Doug style. Williams reported that he confessed his crimes to the court and made an agreement. He was able to speak publicly about formations he had crafted because they were covered by his agreement with the court. In 2010 he publicly spoke about crop circles he had made in the 1990s and subsequently launched an internet television channel dealing with humanly made crop circles in 2010.
4. A combination of anomalous crop circles and overboarding, where hoaxers board over an anomalous crop circle to make it appear it had been hoaxed, has been reported. Signs of overboarding were reported by early crop circle investigators but only suspected in some cases. The June 2, 2010, crop circle at Liddington Castle, Wiltshire, may demonstrate the confusion created by overboarding.
When crop circle research Andrew Pyrka investigated the Liddington Castle crop circle he concluded it was one of the finest formations ever made in barley. He reported anomalous phenomena within the formation: “…A most extraordinary thing happened which we/I cannot explain. Igor Byttebier and Antoinette Dyson were present and conducted the test for me. This meter [that he used] also measures air temperature in Fahrenheit and Celsius – Antoinette walked round the formation with hope for the meter alarm to go off, but nothing, as soon as she stood in the center of the formation the temperature reading shot up to 46 degrees Celsius !!! then few minutes later rapidly dropped to minus 24 degrees Celsius. Few minutes later the battery in the meter started to fade so I went to get a replacement but also found that this battery was completely discharged. The evening was warm and sunny so we have no explanation to what might have occurred. Approximately half an hour later I returned to my kit bag and started to pack away my camera and to my surprise I could see my breath as one can on a cold winters day!!. Also moisture droplets were becoming visible on plant stems within the formation – when we first entered this formation our shoes were perfectly dry but on exit my shoes and bottom of my trousers were wet. Normal temperature at the time was approx 20 degrees Celsius so some kind of fast temperature changes occurred within this formation. ???!!!”
Signs of board marks were later observed in the formation, but Andrew did not see them when he visited the formation. Together with other indicators, I used the high precipitation and extreme temperature changes observed within the crop circle to forecast cooler-then-average temperatures and high levels of precipitation for 2011.
Major floods and snowfall dominated the winter and spring in areas worldwide, notably Australia, Indonesia, and the USA, along with cooler-than-average temperatures in winter 2010 and spring 2011. Similar anomalies were not reported in any other Wiltshire crop circles in 2010. These contradictions strong suggest the possibility that the Liddington Castle crop circle was an anomalous formation that was later overboarded. Neither Andrew Pyrka nor any other investigator gathered samples from the crop formation and testing could not be done.
Psychic abilities are part and parcel of the human experience, and it is well within the realm of possibility that a crop circle hoaxing team could receive “channeled” information. The hoaxers’ abilities to translate channeled information into physical characteristics of a crop circle must be questioned. People are inspired with intuition and messages daily but their execution of inspired information remains within the range of the knowledge, skills and abilities as a set.
Freddy Silva reported that after he published information about anomalous crop circles that appeared on naturally occurring lei lines hoaxers began to make crop art in the same locations where anomalous formations had appeared. Crop art makers have improved their skills with experience, and many hoaxed formations look impressive to casual and inexperienced observers; but, with 30 years of experience, Silva reports hoaxing details that casual observers overlook.
Crop circles as they relate to origins in intelligence and energy are a frontier that awaits diligent exploration. Various sequences of designs and locations of crop circles within specific periods of time appear to relate to each other through certain conditions of the earth. As earth’s conditions change with time sets of crop circles change.
Anomalous crop circles often triangulate or point to areas of impending earth changes. The January 23 crop circle in Indonesia was near a volcano that erupted weeks after it was made. On April 26, 2011, earthquakes occurred virtually simultaneously near crop circle sites in Indonesia, Mexico and Argentina. I drew a triangle between the three earthquakes close to crop circles and posted it on Facebook the morning I noticed peculiar the sequence. The Tungurahua volcano in Ecuador erupted within the triangle the same day. The Taal volcano in the Philippines was very close to the line drawn between Indonesia and Mexico.
The first crop circles in Wiltshire were near the very ancient Stonehenge megaliths, a complex astronomical observatory situated on a hub of powerful planetary ley lines, or alignments between ancient monuments and geographical features that Albert Watkins first observed in 1921. https://ley.askdefine.com/ Global warming of Neptune and Pluto, suggesting systemic heating of the solar system, was observed as satellite technology improved in the 1980s. In the same decade a hypothesis of Earth’s global warming exacerbated by the greenhouse gases humanly introduced into Earth’s atmosphere were at the forefront of political debate
In 1993 two crops circles in the USA each pointed to the location of magnetic north with an indicator in one pointing in the direction of Siberia. Within one year of the crop circles appearances, magnetic north began moving at a very rapid pace, relative to its historical movement for centuries. Earth’s magnetic fields are generated by the planet’s core, which may be responsive to a multitude of conditions including global temperature. Magnetic north had moved from its historical position north of the Great Lakes so rapidly that by 2010 it was approaching Siberia, far west of its position in 1993.
Rapid melting evident at the Antarctic exceeded all scientific wisdom about the ice caps. By 1997 icebergs had started to break away from the Antarctic as the ice cap melted. By 2010 rising sea levels resulting from melting ice were already submerging islands. Post-modern crop circles displaying signs of high heat near an ancient astronomical observatory at the hub of power Earthian energy lei lines cannot be dismissed easily. Yet only a small number of independent researchers have examined the phenomenon with scientific integrity commensurate with its importance to the well-being of human civilization.
The Earth periodically experiences warming and cooling cycles that relate to conditions of the solar system. Life on Earth has survived and evolved through many cataclysms. As Plato astutely observed the rising and falling of human civilization is at greatest risk during natural cataclysms, which he coincidentally related to water-bound coastal areas in Timaeus.
Crop circle origins and messages are tied to the Earth in which they are embedded as well as human capacities. Overall, human capacity for intelligent reflection as a species is a measure of civilization. These factors bring humankind face-to-face with civilization as reflection.
