Now I’m back to removing the Viagra spam. Perhaps ten spam comments in just one hour. So that now means I need to turn on my spam filter again and go back again to moderating comments.
Grrrrr…. This is not working and I don’t know what to do.
At last someone has identified for me why I see so many people changing their password.
I’ve asked and asked why people are continually changing passwords but have never received an answer that alerts me to what may be going on. Unless you describe to me what’s happening, I have no idea.
At last, Brenda has identified that the site requires users to log in before they can comment.
Knowing that I went to the proper place and removed the requirement that you need to be logged in.
Now this may raise a fresh problem of spam, but I’ll deal with that when and if it arises. Again if there is a spate of senseless, negative messages, I’ll have to come up with another new solution.
Hopefully now there will be fewer people having to change their passwords.
Thanks, Brenda. Steve
Commenting here used to be a lot easier. I don’t like having to go to my email to search for the impossible to remember password I was sent, nor do I like having to use my full name with comments, but I don’t know how to change either of these. I have the same problem when I click on “Join the forum discussion…” Commenting should be easier; it is on most blogs and used to be here. This may be my last comment on T2012S because my password is slowly getting buried in my email. Who can remember “QRh$jpyIahmbt”? Come on, Ryan, there are simpler ways to comment. Bye Steve. Love your site. I’ll miss sharing the occasional thought.
