Excuse me, Mr. President, can you repeat that?
“A lot still needs to be done in China in terms of human rights,” Chinese president Hu Jintao said yesterday at a press conference held in light of his visit with US president Barack Obama. (1)
Be still my beating heart.
The leader of the People’s Republic of China acknowledging his country’s abysmal record on human rights? Will someone pinch me please? I must still be sleeping.
Now someone please tell me how this historic step may have been accomplished? SaLuSa? Matthew? Hatonn?
This is one small step for the man in the suit, one giant leap for mankind.
Here is what the Chinese leader said in full:
“A lot still needs to be done in China in terms of human rights,” Chinese president Hu Jintao said yesterday at a press conference held in light of his visit with US president Barack Obama. “We will continue our efforts to improve the lives of the Chinese people, and we will continue our efforts to promote democracy and the rule of law in our country.” Obama, for his part, noted that “History shows that societies are more harmonious, nations are more successful and the world is more just when the rights and responsibilities of all nations and all people are upheld. Including the universal rights of every human being.” (2)
Don’t blink. You’ll miss it. Where is Groundhog Day when you need it?
Can SaLuSa be right in the end?
“Notice how the Chinese leaders are making concessions to the West, and that they are using their power to prevent the Illuminati from making further footholds in the East. They are a part of a growing movement to stabilise the world, and root out the influences that have tried to lead you into another war scenario.” (3)
What’s next?
Snakes ferrying frogs across rivers? Preposterous!
Lions lying down with lambs? Never this side of the Astral Plane! (4)
Bringing Heaven to Earth? Not likely!
